The Reverie of Me

Her masquerade of truth

was somewhere

in-between

the stratums of sleep

and her constant reverie.

Stitched together

by the absence of certainty

she couldn’t feel hurt here

nothing was real there.

Pain was only found

when she woke up

to the sound

of another day beginning.

Your voice on these lines is a mastery of enchantment 🙂 A nice poem waking up to reality to have the masquerade discovered. Some do live lives like this, I find mine too full to even pause and take in breath some days. Keep writing and yes, your voice is a joy to hear 🙂
