The Lost Children

The Lost Children

Cradles unrocked

Lullabies left unsung

Dust settles

But arms with ancient aches

never settle

they shake

they rattle

they rock

the ghosts of what couldn’t be

Children lost in time

Never born to be

held together

by their mothers’ loving arms

in this life

and for all eternity

  1. Felt a melancholy while reading!
So deep and as usually even if it’s repetitive but the words are perfectly chosen and put together πŸ‘Œ
Hope your day is great πŸ˜ŠπŸ’•

  2. I feel really moved by these words. Children lost, their lives that never saw the brightness of the world, the yearning and pining of a mother, something a man can never really understand. Thank you so much for these words and how wonderful it is to have you exploring sensitive topics of love in a different way. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
