Ghosts Aren’t Real

Ghosts Aren’t Real

As I clear the cobwebs

in-between

the crooked caverns

& chasms of me

I find

the phantasm of who I used to be

haunts me still

She lingers within the dream

of who I long to be

“Ghosts aren’t real”

Perhaps if I stop believing

my apparition

will stop living

inside of me
