Slaves

Slaves, ye mortals be.

Their crucible of time

chimes

in agony

Seconds can torture

Minutes can pleasure

Hours can conspire

without

the need

for

their existence.

And yet,

they can’t live without it.

Bound to honor

while they wear

their human armor

Slaves, ye mortals be.

  1. You might even be questioning the very meaning of our existence here, as well as raising that difficult question, is time real or is it a human construct.   2. This is really powerful! we are slaves indeed of this existence and time that don’t stop or wait for us…our only freedom is to be happy in the moment we live in I guess…
