Willow Tree

Willow Tree

Willow tree willow tree

Do not weep for me.

Thou has leaves

that forever dance

in the afternoon breeze.

Thou has weathered bark

battling storms I’ll never see.

Thou gives me shade

when I whittle myself down, madly.

Weep only for my lonely soul

even when I am with thee.

Nice poem and hope loneliness will leave your sight because it’s an ugly feeling πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

  2. I like the way that you give yourself a relationship to the tree, you establish contact and, there is that bringing in of conversation through the bark and the leaves, finally the whole form in the weeping. Whether this was free-flowing or not, your mind constructs. Lovely read πŸ™‚
